”Tragedy is a delicate art to teach.”
Allfather Dominic of The Grail. Preacher.
You have received your cult description, and probably have questions about it…
That's perfectly understandable. The call of Cthulhu franchise may be Great, Old, and One of the best known rpg franchises, but your cult is completely new to you.
Unlike other rpg franchises, such as the World of Darkness, there isn't a massive background for every single organization within the franchise that you can pull from, when you want to connect your character better with your cult and your fellow cultists.
Some players prefer to be able to do this when they are developing their character on their own, while others do not, both opinions are equally valid.
But the vast majority of both types of players want the framework of their “group” (whatever type it is; from intergalactic knightly order to pirate crew.) to feel “lived in”, to feel like a “home”. Something that is truly worth defending, crying over, fearing for, or perhaps even worth dying for…
In order to give you this possibility, to truly make you a designated cult “your own”, we are giving those who want to, an opportunity to do so.
Therefore, we are offering all cults, a 2-hour Q&A online meeting on the Last Call Discord server with Henrik Vridstoft, to “customize your cult”, so to speak, as well as ask any questions specifically about your cult, you would want clarified. This collaborative effort will focus mainly on all the types of internal dynamics, lore, rituals, philosophies, and other such subjects that are only related to the members of the cult; This is about putting your favourite cut of "meat" on the skeleton we have supplied you with, not about downright rewriting the cult per see.
The Q&A sessions will take place over two distinct weeks:
Week 27 (June 29th-July 4th) and Week 31 (July 27th-Aug 1st.)
Henrik will have two hour time-slot available for all weekdays except Wednesday (which is dedicated to the weekly organizer meetings) and two time-slots available on every Saturday and Sunday.
On the weekdays, he will be available from 19.00 to 22.00.
On the weekends, he will be available from 12.00 to 18.00.
All the time-slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and you book it by contacting Henrik on Discord, where a compiled list of available slots will be posted in the Q&A section.
If a player for some reason is unable to attend on the date that fits the majority of their fellow cultists, the player must forward any questions or suggestions they might have, to a fellow cult member.
While we can’t offer an isolated time-slot for players of Lone Wolf characters on their own, they are welcome to reach out to Henrik directly via Discord, for any questions, suggestions or pitches during the same available weeks.
Unlike the lone wolves players, the cult Q&A sessions will not be focusing on the actual characters, only the cult itself.
