The Cults
At The Last Call we have four main groups of characters:
The Cthulhu Cult
The Cthulhu Cult is present on the island through several distinct, localized cells. Each cell heard the Call of Great Cthulhu in a unique way, developing its own subculture, rituals, and aesthetic practices. Some cells are centuries old and others quite new. During the larp, your cell functions as your primary social unit and ritual base.
The Hybrid Children
All the Hybrid Children are undergoing a permanent biological and mental transformation to join their immortal ancestors in the sea. They look at the surface world as a temporary illusion and view the ocean as their true home. Each individual are on their path of transformation. Some are further than others and have begun to change not only on the inside but also on the outside.
The Lone Wolves
The Lone Wolves are individual characters who arrive on Vaelsh Island independently. They have received the Call only months before them arriving on Vaelsh Island. Their dreams forcing them to leave everything they know behind. They come because they must know why these dreams so relentlessly demands them to come to the island. These players function outside the established cult cells at the start of the larp. The Lone Wolves hold a unique position of high status and freedom on Vaelsh Island. Every single cult present on the island will attempt to win The Lone Wolves over to their cause. New humans that have been singled out by the Gods are truly precious and having them in your cell is of highest priority.
The Infiltrators
These are by their very nature secret and hidden. If you are an infiltrator you will get a secret email.

The Cults
Below is a summary of all the cults found at The Last Call:
The Pulsing Seizure
The Pulsing Seizure is an urban cult born in the gritty streets and underground techno raves of Thessaloniki. They attune their minds to the Call of Cthulhu through rhythmic bass lines, ecstatic dancing, and vibrant street art.
The Esoteric Order of Dagon
Originating from Massachusetts, this militaristic order of Deep One hybrids views the ocean as a realm of inevitable biological continuity. They focus on strict doctrines to accelerate their physical transformation before the ultimate awakening occurs.
The Low Voice
The Low Voice consists of artists, scholars, and musicians who replicate the transgressive power of the cosmos through sound. They decode a global low-frequency auditory phenomenon known as The Hum to channel spells and communal trances.
The False Sun
Operating as a clandestine darknet-network and doomsday cell. They believe the daylight is an illusion masking an imminent eternal night that will herald the return of the Old Gods.
The Angled Ones
This cult of wealthy individuals is obsessed with non-Euclidean geometry and the hidden structural framework of reality. They perform structural rituals and study impossible objects to prepare their minds for the shifting architecture of R'lyeh.
The Children of the Crooked Star
The Children of the Crooked Star are a rural Californian group dedicated to the alignment of ley lines and celestial constellations. They use physical posturing and environmental art to open paths between spaces and connect directly with the sunken city.
Those Who Stand Where the Water Waits
Based in the wetlands of the Okefenokee Refuge, this group practices quiet devotion within liminal salt marshes and rising tides. They actively protect swamp cryptids and view rising sea levels as the gradual, patient reclamation of the dry earth.
The Vorithean
This highly codependent group of marine scientists conducts transhumanist bioengineering experiments aboard a research vessel. They fuse human flesh with sacred microplastics to evolve an amphibious form capable of enduring abyssal pressure.
The Marklund Family
A family of closely (though somewhat unclearly) related siblings and cousins who were in their prime the last time The Old Ones were supposed to awaken. Worship within the family manifests through a distorted resonance, utilizing traditional Swedish Christian psalms perverted for their occult focus.
The Nameless Kin of the Parched Sea
This isolated cell of five unique Deep One hybrids relies on independent interpretation, mapping their physical transformations onto a cosmic view of human sins. They are driven by terrifying apocalyptic visions of drying oceans to seek alternative paths to survival.
The Ledger
Composed of wealthy old-money elites, this Providence-based cult spends its vast resources to excavate and catalogue lost cosmic manuscripts. They document their findings in physical books to atone for historical ritual failures, placing them in direct conflict with traditional oral laws.
The Silent Law
This northern Greenlandic movement consists of nomadic hunters who enforce strict adherence to oral tradition and the pure vocal expression of Aklo. They aggressively eliminate written records and use blood sacrifices to maintain the living resonance of the deep.
The Lone Wolves
A loose knit band of solitary individuals who have just started receiving the Call through intense, fracturing dreams. They travel to Vaelsh Island as independent pilgrims, channelling raw cosmic dread into obsessive art while established factions vie for their allegiance.
